OUR MISSION
To bring Good News to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, and proclaim freedom to the captives through Jesus' love. We work where the need is greatest, responding to crises and partnering with churches and organizations to empower women and children with the skills needed to lift themselves out of poverty.

To see people living with hope by trusting God to pull them out of extreme poverty, living transformed lives, and achieving great things via God's fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22).

WHERE WE WORK
Despite its extraordinary wealth of natural resources, the DR Congo remains one of the poorest countries in the world, classified 179th out of 191 countries and territories on the Human Development Index (UNDP, 2022). Over 70% of the population lives below poverty.
Decades of armed conflict have led to millions of deaths and widespread rape. Women and children remain the most vulnerable in what is often unstable, violent situations, particularly in the DRC.
HATD, a Christian NGO positioned in the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), is focused on hope, healing and the development for Congolese women and children.
Driven by our love for Christ, we not only provide for basic needs, we offer training and entrepreneurial support so that women and children can thrive and support their communities. All of our programs are focused on bringing the hope of Jesus for all, as we work together for the development of the community.
